The St. Monica Ambassador Program empowers qualifying 7th and 8th grade students by providing leadership skills, experiences, and opportunities for communication with different groups of people. As part of our Portrait of a Graduate, we strive to develop responsible global citizens by allowing them to actively pursue opportunities that have a positive impact on the lives of others.
Some of the position responsibilities may include campus tours, writing thank you cards to touring families, admissions events, Open Houses, orientation events, Grandparents Day guides, fundraiser volunteers, Catholic Schools Week volunteers, shadow day buddies, and many more.
The Ambassador Program application process is open to all 7th and 8th grade students who are in good academic and behavioral standing. After applying, all applicants will have the opportunity for a face-to face-interview in which they will be able to put their best foot forward to show their excellent leadership and communication skills.
Each student ambassador will also be required to maintain a grade of C or higher in each class and be in good standing with attendance. They will also be required to maintain a B average in all classes for behavior. Each quarter, all student ambassador report cards will be reviewed to ensure their good standing in all departments. In the event the requirements are not met, we will review each case individually to ensure this program is a good fit for the student.
Each student ambassador will also be required to wear either an existing navy blue blazer or purchase a navy blue blazer without emblems or embroidery. The school will provide the official ambassador nametag.
