Pre-K

St. Monica Catholic Pre-K develops the whole child through an integrated and cross-curricular academic program. We provide a warm and welcoming environment that is filled with engaging hands-on activities that challenge each child to learn and grow. Our pre-k is blessed to be able to provide a faith-filled and academic program that embraces each child.

Our dynamic teachers are all degreed/certified/licensed and have a true passion for working in early childhood.

• Pre-K 3 - 18 students/ 1 teacher & 1 aide 8:00 am – 3:00 pm (2 classes)
• Pre-K 4 – 18 students / 1 teacher & 1 aide 8:00 am – 3:00 pm (3 classes)
• DK – 20 students / 1 teacher & 1 aide 8:00 am – 3:00 pm (1 class)

An After School Care Program is available until 6:00 pm with limited space.

We believe in the development of the whole child. Our curriculum contains daily lessons integrated with weekly themes, letters, and numbers. A few times a month our kids are immersed in specials such as art, library, and PE. Our Preschool Spanish program is an on-site Spanish emersion language development program that occurs once a week. Our preschoolers also participate once a week in American Sign Language classes. This unique opportunity develops a sense of empathy and respect for others. Technology is integrated into each room with computers, iPads, and Newline

We are fully accredited by the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops Education Department (TCCBED) which is approved by the Texas Education Agency (TEA).

We are pleased to have a wonderful environment to welcome your child. Our classrooms are bright, spacious, and filled with materials, manipulatives, centers, and the like that draw a child in to play and learn. We also have two playgrounds outside & a large grassy area. 

Placement is contingent upon a screening process as well as class eligibility. Students in the 3-year-old class must be 3 years old by September 1 and potty trained. Students in the 4-year-old classes must be 4 years old by September 1 and potty trained. Students in the DK class must be 5 years old by December 31.
