St. Monica Catholic School Spreads Good Cheer to Fight Hunger
On Saturday, November 19, St. Monica Catholic School proudly participated in the tenth-annual “Spreading Good Cheer” fundraiser and performance exhibition at Bishop Dunne High School. Once again, Spreading Good Cheer invited cheerleaders and dance teams within the Dallas Parochial League to collect peanut butter and monetary donations to support the Catholic Charities of Dallas food pantry.
This year, the St. Monica cheer team led by Coach Christine Elias, took home the trophy in the large-school category for collecting the most donations with a grand total of 1,002 jars of peanut butter and $7,326.87 in contributions. According to Spreading Good Cheer founder, Joyce Limber, over $20,000 was raised by all schools combined, which is enough to feed five families for an entire year. This is truly a victory for all!
