The St. Monica Academic Excellence committee is pleased to announce Kathleen Foley as October’s Teacher of the Month.
As a lifetime member of the St. Monica community, Ms. Foley goes above and beyond not only to teach and guide her students to meet their academic goals but also to instill in them spiritual virtues they will carry into adulthood. Ms. Foley does all of this will great love and compassion for the children, their families, and anyone who may enter her classroom.
Ms. Foley’s success grows from the environment she creates in her classroom. As one parent notes, “I’ve been so impressed by Ms. Foley and the positivity she creates in her students and classroom. She is quite graceful with these kindergarten kids, managing to instill a deep interest in faith, nurture their minds with knowledge and love, and enforce and teach manners and guide morals. She truly checks all the boxes, and I’m grateful my son has her to start this great journey.”
Ms. Foley is a role model for both children and teachers alike. She is encouraging to everyone she meets while also being empathic and approachable. One parent explains, “Ms. Foley is a teacher extraordinaire, and SMS is incredibly lucky to have her. She models her faith beautifully but more importantly passes it on and instills it in the kids. Our kids learn to read, write, and do math as they are learning all about saints, kindness, scripture, and prayer. Her dedication to our kids is astounding. She goes above and beyond.”
We honor Ms. Foley for showing so much love and support for our children. Ms. Foley, thank you for the impact you have made on our children, in our community, and in our hearts.
