January 2024 Teacher of the Month

St. Monica is honored to have a teacher with the qualities of Ms. Telepak. Teachers who love teaching, teach children to love learning. In our St. Monica community, our teachers are viewed as truly loving their students, seeking their highest good even when at times the way may be hard.

As one of her nominators wrote: “When I think of someone who has a true calling to teach kindergartners, I think of Ms. Telepak. She takes the time to relate to each of her students by discovering their individual interests and uses those motivations in her instruction of curriculum. She encourages her students to treat each other with love and respect which is easy for them to understand as she models that behavior toward each and every child. For my child specifically, she
has a firm grasp of his strengths and areas of growth academically. This makes her capable of scaffolding his learning so that he can reach his full potential. My son is very much a homebody but Ms. Telepak makes him happy to be at school and he looks forward to seeing her every day. Honestly, I have been overwhelmingly impressed by Ms. Telepak’s intuitive teaching skills. As someone who is obviously quite young in her professional career, her style of teaching makes her appear as if she has decades of experience. The only explanation for this is that it’s truly God’s plan for her to be serving these children!”

Ms. Telepak is the model of exemplary teaching. Let’s congratulate her today for her commitment to excellence and her impact on our students. We are excited to celebrate the
wonderful and positive contributions that she is making at our school.
