April 2025 Teacher of the Month

As one of her nominators wrote, “Mrs. Selly is a positive role model in the classroom who is constantly thinking of creative ways to inspire learning.  She makes school fun while keeping high expectations for her students.” Another parent wrote, “My daughter is excited to go to school because of Mrs. Selly! She has grown so much and, with her teacher’s encouragement, has come out of her shell and really started to blossom. She even asked if she could teach her in fourth grade as well!” A student wrote in to nominate Mrs. Selly and said, “She goes above and beyond and engages and challenges us. She makes schoolwork so much fun, especially the boring stuff. She is really nice and makes me love school. .” Throughout the nominators’ posts, a resounding sentiment was heard that Mrs. Selly is always going above and beyond with community building and is kind and caring. 
 
St. Monica is truly fortunate to have a teacher like Mrs. Selly. Her passion for teaching inspires a love of learning in his students. In our St. Monica community, our teachers are deeply valued for their dedication and commitment to the well-being and growth of each student, even in challenging times.
