November 2024 Teacher of the Month

As one of her nominators, a fellow teacher wrote,  “I have had the pleasure of working with her for 2 years and I do not know what I would do without her on my team. She helps me when needed and makes sure the teachers are on the same page. She helps me handle different student situations and is there to advocate for me. I always can count on her to complete a task and I can trust her to get things done when she says she will. I know she is there for me just like I know she is there for each of her students!”  At least 10 parent nominees wrote that she is hard-working, dedicated, is approachable, and goes above and beyond in her care for students, teachers, and SMS.  One parent wrote, “Ms. Kennedy is an outstanding teacher and a wonderful supporter of all events at SMS. My kids love math because of Ms. Kennedy, a subject they otherwise struggle with. I love seeing Ms. Kennedy at the various sporting events as well. She overall is a great asset and essential teacher at St. Monica.” A student wrote, “It’s hard to make math fun, but Ms. Kennedy does it. The math homework we do on our laptops is fun. Because we use our laptops the homework keeps me interested. She absolutely needs to be Teacher of the Month.”
 
St. Monica is truly fortunate to have a teacher like Ms. Kennedy. Her passion for teaching inspires a love of learning in her students. In our St. Monica community, our teachers are deeply valued for their dedication and commitment to the well-being and growth of each student, even in challenging times.
