May 2025 Teacher of the Month

Mrs. Myrick was overwhelmingly nominated by her students, which says all you need to know about her ability as a teacher. As one of her students wrote, “Mrs. Myrick came late in the year but ever since she came she has been the kindest teacher, she is not easy and gives us loads of work but she is always helpful kind and inclusive” Another student wrote, “ Since Mrs. Myrick came to St. Monica’s, she has showed us the power of reading and writing and how it will help us in the world. She has also shown us the Classics to get us inspired by Classic books.” Throughout the student nominators posted a resounding sentiment that Mrs. Myrick has an Incredible "heart" and provides positive support.  They resoundingly said she promotes equal opportunities for all students and models empathy, encouragement, and approachability.  She is very forward-thinking and creative.
 
St. Monica is truly fortunate to have a teacher like Mrs. Myrick. Her passion for teaching inspires a love of learning in his students. In our St. Monica community, our teachers are deeply valued for their dedication and commitment to the well-being and growth of each student, even in challenging times.
