You can earn a tuition credit when:
The referring family completes the attached Prospective Family Referral Form with information regarding the prospective family and returns the form to the school office.
The new student applies, is accepted, enrolls and begins the 2019/2020 school year at St Monica.
If the new student is still enrolled at SMS in November 2019, a $500 tuition credit is applied to charges in the FACTS account of the referring family.
The referring family must have a student enrolled at St Monica Catholic School in the 2019/2020 school year to be eligible to receive the tuition credit.
The referring family can earn more than one credit by referring multiple prospective families.
If multiple current families refer the same prospective family, the tuition credit will be split evenly between the referring families.
Thank you in advance for your referrals – we look forward to welcoming your friends and family to St Monica Catholic School.
If you have questions regarding the referral program, please contact Sally Wengierski.
Fall Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place on Thursday, October 25, 2 – 5 pm, and Friday, October 26, 8 am – 4 pm. As always, conferences are meant for short updates (no more than 15 minutes with each teacher). If you feel you need more time, teachers will be happy to make arrangements at another mutually convenient time.
We are pleased to inform you that we will be using our online program which allows you to schedule your own appointments with your child’s teachers. However, the system has recently been upgraded which resulted in a few changes.
Software for the upgraded console would not support parent account information to integrate from the previous system. The link below will guide you through the steps to set up your new account. Also, your previous password is now obsolete. As you set up your parent account, you will be instructed to create a new password. The system works on a first come, first served basis. There is a limited number of appointments available for each teacher.
If you have questions regarding how to use the system, please send an email to email@example.com. Please keep in mind that in order to meet with any of your child’s teachers, you must set up a pre-arranged appointment through our on-line system. IMPORTANT – the system will be available to schedule appointments beginning Friday, October 19 at 8 a.m. and will close on Tuesday, October 23 at Noon.
We look forward to seeing you at the Parent-Teacher Conferences on October 25 and 26.
The majority of school supplies are purchased with your Academic and Technology Fee. There are a few ancillary items that will need to be purchased:
We feel that the safest means for your child to be picked up from school is to follow the standard traffic procedure for dismissal. The plan allows for supervision of your child by school personnel until they are loaded into your car, thereby eliminating many of the dangers of additional traffic to cross and access to the general public. However, for various reasons such as living close to the school, a tight afternoon schedule, or mixed carpools, parents have requested that their child be permitted to walk off of the campus at dismissal time. While we hope that you will exercise caution with this practice, particularly with your children, the school will accept a parents request for a “walker” designation.
NOTE: K-2 students with older siblings that are also walkers MUST wait and walk with their siblings. They will be supervised in the Cafeteria until their siblings are dismissed. Students in grades K-8 will not be allowed to walk off campus on inclement weather days. They will be sent to the cafeteria and may be picked up in the A-J carpool line (the line closest to the cafeteria) or their parents may walk onto campus and pick them up in the cafeteria.
