Why St. Monica?

Why Choose St. Monica?

Our mission at St. Monica Catholic School is to develop the whole child by fostering the love of God, respect for self and others, and belief in gospel values according to Roman Catholic principles in an atmosphere of academic excellence. We encourage self confidence and school pride in a culturally diverse community, through a caring and disciplined partnership of church, school and home.

It is our goal to graduate students who are knowledgeable in the Catholic faith, academically prepared to continue their high school education, and establish the foundation for a meaningful life with their church, community and family.

Our philosophy is based upon a call to attend to the spiritual, emotional, intellectual, social, and physical needs of our students. We seek to provide an educational program that challenges and nurtures each child’s distinctive abilities. We believe that the success of each child is enhanced by the collaboration of parents, faculty and staff working in a positive and trusting framework.

At St. Monica we pride ourselves on our community involvement. The support we get from these organizations is contagious. Together, they support the school and build a strong and close-knit community.

The PTO is committed to providing over 25 programs to the school each year, which are carefully coordinated in a close partnership with the school with over 400 parent and community volunteers. In so doing, we are mindful of our ultimate goal in promoting the spiritual, educational and physical welfare of each and every student at St. Monica Catholic School.

The Dad’s Club works to support the mission of St. Monica School. They offer financial and physical support to the school and have a great time doing it. As their motto says, “If you are a Dad, you’re in the club!”

I look forward to working with you.

Sincerely,
Kathy Leitnick
