- Born in France in 1066 to a Christian family
- Parents prayed for a child they could consecrate to God
- Studied under an Abbot
- Personally cared for the sick
- Became the Abbot of Nogent
- Built a sanctuary for the sick, homeless and poor
- Gave his own food to lepers
- Fell ill and died in 1115
Saint Godfrey practiced justice throughout his life. As a young student he cared for the sick. When Godfrey was older and in a position of power, he continued to seek the common good,using his gifts to provide the less fortunate a place to live, food to eat and medical care.
